I've seen some articles on the Temple of Zeus website which appear at first glance to contradict. Some will say that Zeus and Baal Zebul (I guess that it would be more appropriate to call him Beelzebul, Lord of the heights, as opposed to Baal Zebul which means Lord of the flies)—otherwise known as Enki and Enlil—are half-brothers. In other words, they're not the same being, but Zeus is the head of the pantheon and Beelzebul is like his second in command or something like that?
But I'm confused because some other posts identified Zeus as Zeus, even though Zeus was said to be Enlil (Beelzebul) not Enki. So are they separate entities, or are they aspects of one being which is what the Abrahamists call
"Zeus"
?
Also, how exactly do demons and Sumerian deities equate to the twelve Olympians? Like, ok so there's Zeus, which is Baal Zebul, so who is Hades or Poseidon, or Athena or the other Olympians? Just curious, anyway thank you for taking the time to help me understand I really appreciate it.
