If it's not currently possible to see another doctor, would you rather recommend I follow this treatment that I don't trust, or continue with the working and other strategies until I can seek someone more professional? It's a tough call. Look up the medicine online and see reviews, long-term effects, and so on.

But if your intuition is strongly telling you "no", then listen, especially as it is not a life-threatening illness. A lot of medicines do more harm than good.

You can also look into alternative treatments for the ailment, but this is tricky if you're unable to do so in person. But if it is needed, then you can make it happen, such as doing magick to allow an opportunity to seek other medical advice.
