Another Satanic Rosary Question. Sorry.

So, I know this topic has been covered quite a lot in this group, so sorry in advance. I'm going to be making my first Satanic Rosary and I just wanted to make sure I get it right.

So, it's made up of 108 beads not including the five on the end? So, I would have to start with 8 beads, then 10 lots of 10 after that with every tenth one being slightly larger?

Once again, sorry, I know this get asked quite a lot. I'm fairly certain I have it figured out though. Just wanted to make sure so that I didn't go ahead and make then realise I got it wrong.

Ah, I don't know why everyone thinks they must make a "certain way" their rosaries... Personally, I have put marbles I found in my sister's drawer and I have put 10 pearls of let's say small size, then 10 pearls of bigger size etc etc... So that, if I have my eyes closed, I'll be able to *feel* where I'm heading. I think you should do whatever's the most convenient for you. There aren't instructions for making a Satanic Rosary... Um, or at least that's what I think.

I wouldn't stress too much about the rosary. Its only function is to count mantras and the like. You should make it in the way that is the most useful and functional to you.

Whatever is your preference, and that will last you a long time.It is nice to make your own rosary, it gives it an individual and unique feel. If you decide to go through with it, use a strong leather cord. And find a small pouch to put it in. If you go travelling or out of town, you can take your rosary with you, as I have done before on family vacations. Very convenient!

Ooh, ok. I was just going to use wire. But now that I think about it, a leather cord will probably hold for much longer. I am going to go shopping for beads and stuff in the next few days. I hope I don't end up killing it. It will be nice to have my own unique rosary.

I hope it goes well for you. Making our own stuff is always a relaxing, enjoyable experience. ^.^I once sewed up a bag for my runes with cloth (from the arts and crafts section of the dollar store) and folded the rim and stuck some string/cord that I had lying around to tie it up.

Yeah, I know. I used to make things all the time when I was little. I once made a dress by sewing a skirt and a shirt together. Now that I think back, I realise how horrible it looked. But I had fun doing it.

Actually, if I may weigh in on this? I am an amature jewelry maker, with lots of experience with beading...

Something that can work as well or better then leather cord is what is called 'plastic PVC string'. It is really in-expensive, strong as fishing line, and really easy to use! You can find it at craft stores such as Michaels or Joanne Fabrics, as well as online!

Depending on the size of your beads, you can even double the thread, but it really isn't necessary, as its super strong. I've used it for many, many years, and find it to be most reliable for beading.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I don't know the first thing about jewellery making, so I wouldn't really know what works best. I'll have to take a look at both options.

So, I went out and bought the stuff for it today. Ended up using wire. I tried finding a leather cord, but couldn't find one that would have worked. I didn't actually realise how difficult it would be to use wire. I'm thinking about remaking it with that PVC string stuff. It doesn't look as good as I was hoping, but it'll do. I was going to upload a photo of it, then I realised I have idea how to. There's no option to attach a photo or anything.
