alternate nostril breathing.

I have a few quick questions.

1, On Jos where it describes how to preform the alternate nostril breaths there are dots with more descriptions. Are these just a summary or the continuing of the breathing exercise? I hope this question made sense, Im swedish and had some problems formulating it.

2, Is alternate nostril breathing 2 suppose to be preformed after the first one?
