lisa have you tried drinking nettle tea for a while? It removes some toxins from the body, as well as some of the things that are involved in some allergies. Aside to that it contains some minerals.
There is probably more that I'd have to ask if one were to give a complete diagnose but to give an idea. There are herbs have an anti allergic working.
@truthenki1:
Hereby my comment on the list. I hope it answers your question.
1) Avoid dairy. According to TCM, dairy is an irritant to the immune system. Even if you don’t notice sensitivity to dairy, reducing or eliminating it may relieve your symptoms.
I don't know where this ("irritant") comes from but it is told to avoid diary when your lymfe system (which is a part of the immune system) is working hard or even exhausted, since it is like an extra burden in that case.
2) sounds logic.
3)Avoid multiple allergens at once. One theory, called the “Total Load Theory,” states that while exposure to one allergen may not be enough to trigger your symptoms, exposure to several allergens at the same time may. It’s as if your “allergy bucket” has to be overflowing before your symptoms start. For example if you’re allergic to cats and grass pollen, stay away from cats while the grasses are blooming. During other times of the year, you can play with kitty.
The reason that you sometimes might want to avoid multiple allergens is because some allergens look a lot like others. If you react to one and in the meantime you are frequently exposed to something else that looks alike you might as well get allergic to that as well.
4) Use a neti pot. The neti pot is a great way to rinse your sinus cavities, clear mucous and reduce swelling so you can breathe easier. Follow the directions with the pot. Be sure to use distilled water instead of tap to avoid introducing bacteria into your sinuses.
About bacteria. For the water system where I live if you heat the water through the pipes up to 65 C it is said to be hot enough to kill enough harmful bacteria. Besides that the nose is a part of the immune system in that the mucus is supposed to catch invaders so that those can be dealt with.
Now I have no idea what a neti pot is and what it exactly does.
However I do know that having an infection in your sinuses is unpleasant and there are cases in which it is a problem because the fluids can't drain properly or something.
5) Breathe peppermint. Inhaling the scent of a drop of peppermint essential oil can reduce congestion and improve your breathing. Put a drop of the oil in your palm and rub your hands together. Cup your hands over your nose and inhale.
Peppermint (menthe x piperita) is known to help in the digestive system. This claim is very likely to work. Although I doubt rubbing essential oils on your hands like that is a good practice.
