I've been using the letter u with the oo noise instead of figure of the past, as in 'lure' instead of 'dull'.
I personally used this way because the japanese vowel system seems less tainted than english which has many vowel sound variants all depending in the country you come from.
the japanese is figure of the past-(a), ee-(i), oo-(u), eh-(e), oh-(o).
English is ay (a), iye (i), you (u), ee (e), oh (o)
i was wondering where others stand on this?
Hail Satan!
