When it comes to the liturgic prayers for banishing the pathologies what intent should one have when doing them? Can/should they be focused inwards to cleanse the user of the pathology, or would targeting it inwards basically be like cursing oneself? Should they instead be directed out into the world?
Speaking of which lets take the Theophoros prayer and the Yehuborim Prayer, if they can both be targeted inwards what effect would one have over the other? What is the difference between me banishing the yehuborim pathology and me invoking the Theophoros virtue? Surely the presence of one is the absence of the other? I have a feeling I am missing something but I don't know what and would really appreciate some guidance.
I've been practicing the Yehuborim prayer and then the Theophoros prayer. The first thing I noticed is that it more easily detects when someone is acting within that framework, such as lying about the nature of the gods, speaking about monotheistic topics, and essentially blaming the gods for every action someone takes. I practiced the Yehuborim prayer to banish it from the world. I am part of that world; that is, we are also the world and we shape it. It's not like we're cursing ourselves. It simply helps you understand the Yehuboric nature, to detect it, and at the same time, to comprehend it.
The prayer itself has helped me gradually understand the term and its nature. The same goes for the Theophoros prayer.
It's like when we performed the RTRs, that acted as a weapon against them and at the same time freed us from their influence and curses. These Osiris prayers work in the same way. (This is my opinion)
This is based on my limited experience with these prayers; surely we'll have more comments and contributions. Think about it logically: everything that vibrates is felt in your body, and if you're very sensitive, others can feel it too. So it affects you and the world, because we are part of that world.
In conclusion, the prayer has given me greater understanding, allowing me to learn to detect it through actively listening to others. And to eliminate it from the world at the same time.
That's what I think, and if I've made any mistakes, I hope they correct them so I can learn too, haha.
The effects of this are positive, at least so far. The High Priest has said that we must understand all the terms very well, and I think these prayers help precisely with that. Both in understanding the pathologies and in cultivating and practicing the opposites, which are the cures.
