I am writing this post for the benefit of my fellow SS who are stuck, or not feeling well, or who feel unable to achieve a certain goal. But, you can!
Do you have dreams on this journey? Be positive! Fight for it, don't cherish your dream, make it come true! Want to learn pyrokinesis? Practice, do it, and sooner or later you will succeed! (This was just an example)
I have seen people chasing dreams that are almost impossible to fulfill based on their development/ability. They usually chase things that they know are not possible in the good case, and in the bad case they are able to spend 95+% of their energy on it.
The bad news in this respect is that they would rather spend their time and capacity on something that is pleasurable to them, rather than suffer for something that is almost impossible.
While there is no such thing as impossible, as with the right persistence and determination the goal is achievable, it is the part that is different. They are fighting for dreams that are actually cherished dreams and will not be realized/manifested in the material world.
Such failures usually end in depression, spiritual lethargy, which also creates a circle around its "creator" from which, if it does not climb out, it will not recover, suffering will only be its friend, and hopelessness will prevail.
From there, he either gets up or he doesn't, or he starts again or he doesn't, and we could go on and on with examples of such chaotic and 'undignified' situations. If one works persistently for something, the effort is usually rewarded.
However, for some people, the rewards do not come at all or at the right time, and they end up in a state of infirmity. We can come out of this just as well if we have dreams. Just do your work and have faith in success, and above all, in yourself!
While the question is a valid one - "if this didn't work, how can anything else?" - with the right persistence, energy and will, you will succeed. Do everything you can to succeed, don't let yourself be influenced, and especially don't let yourself be talked out of it, because you will deprive yourself of the very success you have been striving for for so long.
Some people have a tendency to give up quickly, and flee into misery, trying to get to a state they know (in a good way) is no good, but the right persistence and pursuit of dreams doesn't play on their minds.
Find meaning in life, find what makes you happy and don't let go! Live each day with pride and joy and remember - be proud of yourself! Don't beat yourself up for things you can achieve at any time.
Don't let yourself drift with the tide, the tide represented by those who give up on their dreams and depression just flows from them. Show yourself what you can do, don't give up and you won't be disappointed in yourself.
Perseverance and will are important on this journey. One feeds the other, without one the other is almost worthless.
Every day is important, seize the moment and let the waves of pride and happiness wash over you.
