You're right about the unnatural kinks, if that is the case for op, however..
It might benefit people in some cases like having a low libido, or if they have been in a relationship with someone they love for a long time and the sexual spark is gone but everything else in the relationship is great.
In these cases self hypnosis using visualization of sexual acts with that person would definitely work positively, other than that, your point is valid, that wouldn't be of any help for the person.
