This also has to do with astrology, the planets control the fate of people and the events of the world. As above (what is happening above in our solar system), So below (what happens down here on Earth) is inextricably connected.
"As above so below" is the Law of Correspondences. Everything lower corresponds to something higher. Both in a physical and a metaphysical way.
