Usually the concept of virginity refers to the incorrupt states of the soul, now I don't know what example you are talking about specifically, but basically mythology is a teaching (so it is spread allegorically). Zeus turning into animals to have sex with ever-changing women is obviously not to be taken literally. Virginity as a concept is something that's been heavily corrupted by the enemy. It's got nothing to do with whether one has had sex or not, it relates to the purity and cleanliness of the soul, spiritual advancement, removal of negative karma and such.
