It channels sexual/kundalini energy up the spine. The instructions seem sound to me. Just remember to ignore any RHP stuff (diets, ways of living and such). This exercise seems to work with the sexual elixir, it is different from the male elixir which the 3rd MO preliminary exercise works with.
