You don't have to follow the description word for word. The Jupiter and Sun squares can be used for almost anything, for example. To answer your question, yes you can.

Quick note you shouldn't really be doing anything with Jupiter right now as its currently in Gemini, and its going to be a little while until its out but then it will be in Cancer and that will be a great time for working with Jupiter.
