When people say "Maybe in another life I will be able to do X", they fail to understand that nothing will be easier or given freely in the next life if they don't work for it or overcome negative circumstances in the current one. It's the well-known "I will do it tomorrow", but in this case "tomorrow" doesn't guarantee a starting situation identical to that of "today", which would at least let them tackle what they postponed without adding a degree of difficulty to it.

When people cut their life short by wasting their time drinking, scrolling or engaging in other useless behaviours, their inaction will transfer into the following life as, at best, a lack of gifts that they could have used the current life to build and to earn.

When people leave major and lasting spiritual, psychological, or material issues unresolved, and hope they will "go away" or think they'll escape them by suicide, they again fail to understand that these trace back to the soul and will be carried into the next life until solved.

Understanding there is no "away" is the first step towards stopping inaction and avoidance and taking one's evolution into their own hands.
