Meşaleler masaya mum olmuş, masa şaire bela olmuş, şair esir olmuş;
One day you will wake up suddenly from your bed,
You will go out to the window, the sun may shine in,
The wind will play with your hair,
You will remember an old poem,
Without knowing who wrote it.
One day you will walk down a path for no reason,
The wind will blow on your face, you will smell the sweet scent of cherries,
You will stand there under the trees,
You will remember a young man, a little sad,
Without knowing who he is.
I won’t be able to sleep,
You will leave,
The colors will fade—what will I see?
Gray clouds?
They will settle on my shoulders like a night,
Don’t read!
I will die,
They will shoot me in the back,
You will see the blood on the stone, the full moon in the sky,
You won’t know, you won’t remember my name,
Don’t know!
It wasn’t me who died.
I believe such a lie!
A dead end like drowning,
Neither crying nor shouting,
So warm and so cold!
So quiet, so cold-blooded.
I know such a truth!
His shoulders are close to the sky,
His hands wrapp around the clouds,
Clouds by his voice, mountains by his scent;
A sun rises where your gaze passes.
I'll wake up to such a morning!
It will be a day; from your hair!
A day from your words!
I love!
On a spring evening
By the seashore...
The Mediterranean Sea...
The light from your eyes...
You are an old love poem,
Hence these descriptions, hence these rhymes,
You are beautiful, you can laugh for without reason.
You are a November morning,
Where the winds blow and the trees shed their leaves,
You are beautiful, you can live without reason.
You're an autumn dream,
Beautiful, scary,
No one else is afraid,
Nor the son for his father, nor Apollo for his Daphne,
As much as losing you scares me.
You are beautiful, you can love for without reason.
You are a winter house where the fire burns while it snows outside.
Smoky, with stone stairs, gray smoke.
It doesn't matter if it's stone, I'll warm myself with you.
The street lamp would ignite the darkness, the nights would end like rain, the trees would sway.
The lost traveler always wandered.
Every morning I would look at you and watch from afar,
Like sunlight in the pouring rain.
A ship used to pass through this harbor, port, starboard.
In the dark dome of the sky, the stars would look at you, ashamed of shining as if they were looking at a lover,
Don't look at the cold outside, I'll warm my myself with you.
I loved you as if I were dying.
I would love you even if I were dying.
You look like flowers blooming in the wilderness,
Your leaves protect me from the rain that falls on me.
Before you, tears filled the rivers,
Now they're just memories.
The Atlantic is far away, even though heaven is close to me,
The oceans are like your eyes.
Even if spring comes, it doesn't bring as much warmth to the house as your voice,
Your eyes look like endless oceans.
I look at the ocean like I'm coming out of a fire.
You look like flowers blooming in the wilderness.
I'm running away from the rain, father.
My heart doesn't squeeze when I see you like it used to,
I never think of you anymore,
I don't shed a tear when I see you,
I don't write poems to you anymore,
I don't want to know what you're doing anymore,
I don't look at you and wander away,
I don't think about what happened,
I know I'm better now,
I know I don't love you anymore.
I went to sleep and woke up, saying "Father".
I was a child, but I grew old very early.
All my pain starts with "father" and ends with "father".
Let the ocean and the sky,
Let me keep crying.
Let me continue to meet the sun where it rises.
I don't want to understand you one day, I want to live you every day.
And if one day my body blends into the soil of my homeland,
I want to be remembered for my poems, not for my experiences.
A thousand times the worse, to want thy light. -Shakespeare
Eyes
I saw a kind man in your eyes,
I saw in your eyes someone trying to fit in,
In your eyes I saw someone who became human again,
I saw in your eyes someone who thinks he knows how to live but is very ignorant.
We are creatures of ambition,
We see in each other a harsh judge, and an enemy,
But I saw eternity in you.
I won't ask you not to go,
But don't you know, V...
“Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love.” -Shakespeare
I Will Lose
Time passes so fast,
As if I committed myself yesterday.
As if I loved you yesterday.
I call you so close, you don't hear me.
I wave from afar for you to see me, you don't look.
I fight for your smile, you don't smile.
I die for you to see me, you don't see me.
