I think Gods can reincarnate and also concerning the fact that he is a young God. He was already a very advanced soul and he reincarnated to an abusive father. If he was really a pharaoh he could have already been a God or at least very close to it.
Is there a correlation between the traits of your soul and the family that've you incarnated? For an example does having an abusive father/mother or being born w 6 fingers etc... reflects something about you soul?

I think it's kind of like gambling reincarnating in this world some get lucky but others suffer. But the soul if freed of bad karma and cleansed is less likely to attract this stuff. I actually dread this whole reincarnation process in today's world. Too many bad people I could end up with.

I think that nearly everyone that ever arrived at the conclusion that rebirth and multiple lives are real has also, eventually, realized that is not necessarily a good thing. In the US, reincarnation became popular in the sixties, as an alternative to the Xtian psychopathic hell fantasies. Now, many are realizing that the next hundred years on Earth are going to be a REAL hell and have sobered up from their initial enthusiasm. As have I. I want off the merry-go-round.

Even if the God's incarnate you with someone good they can put you up for adoption so this makes the whole system random. I really dont like random. So I wish that I won't die but truth be told I used enough drugs in my past and used to smoke so I probably will eventually. You could ask the God's for moon trine sun probably that makes everything way better in childhood most the time.

It's not random. Those who are adopted choose it before they are incarnated on earth. Everyone chooses their parents, their birth circumstances, their early years and even major events in their lives.

That is your incarnated personality speaking. "You" (as your earth personality) may not want it, but YOU (as the higher self/soul) choose your current incarnation before you were born for a reason. Usually, people are incarnated here to learn things, to grow spiritually and to fight to create a better world, they aren't incarnated to have a trip in Disneyland and have a basically meaningless life full of enjoyment and hedonism. That would be spiritual stagnation. Your higher self understands that, but often human, earthly personalities can't get it, that's why they feel very unhappy when chasing meaningless pleasures.

Also: are you talking about the Buddhist or the modern concept of reincarnation? They are different.

The Buddhist concept of reincarnation states that people don't have a soul and they merely reincarnate because of their karma. And all this serves no purpose, and it's best to escape it.

The modern concept of reincarnation (the one I'm using here) states that people are reincarnated to learn lessons and grow. They may not necessarily have a good time (good from the personality perspective), but they will have experiences that are necessary to their growth.

Obviously the modern version is not telling you how great it is from the personality perspective, but it invites you to instead see it in a more expanded perspective, past the limitations of the personality, and see how it all makes sense. It tells you that even some things that may seem bad are not necessary so from the higher perspective, as they can have a positive purpose.

I was specifically addressing the issue of a reluctance to experience another lifetime. There are a lot of questions about how it all occurs, which is why I speak of "Reincarnation-type phenomena". I don't think anyone knows for sure just how it happens or the mechanism.

I would argue that the vast majority of currently living humans are merely repeating humdrum lifetimes and not advancing in any meaningful way. As for me, I HOPE to the Gods I have raised in consciousness enough to move on. In a few more years I will know for certain...

It is not much different from entering and exiting a car, only that the body is the vehicle, and the astral is the location of this.

It is not so simple; you do not choose your circumstances or incarnations unless you are quite an advanced soul. Most people who are not advanced incarnate based on their karma at the time of death. The Gods also have a role to play here with dedicated souls; they incarnate the ones who are close to them at the best time for them.
