The reason humanity cannot really yet have wisdom, is because they focus a lot on the following: Rumors, emotions, hearsay and anything that is displayed.
To take one example. One "heard a story" about how the Ancient Gods are bad, or saw a movie about how the Ancients were brutes. Tens of thousands of years of historical belief in the Gods, suddenly, they are "evil". They don't even ask why; they just move on with the times. What do the times say now? That the Gods of the past are evil. They lock that in.
They impart this as real, and since they believe this to be real, they are deceived. "That is what everyone believes" is a usual reasoning, "Bygone times", "I am not concerned" and a thousand more deflections take place, so most important foundations of their existence are never evaluated.
If the "ruling narrative" says something, it's bought at face value. The cost of accepting this narrative is ignorance in major segments of their life, such as the Gods, spirituality, and the opportunity to develop higher consciousness.
In order for anyone to know anything, one has to move beyond the surface. When it comes to very important topics such as the Gods, or anything else of value, one has to look deeper than the surface. However, the human brain is not capable of doing this as easy answers are sought.
For example: "What is the cause of evil?" - "Nothing, it's just a guy with a dark cape that is called Devil that is the source of this" - "Really?" - "Yes definitely, he also is responsible for all evil you have ever done, not you".
The above dumb conversation is essentially what Christianity, Islam and Judaism are based upon. Simplifications and nonsensical hoaxes. These answers will be unsatisfactory to anyone who has any intelligence, but they are able to satisfy the lesser folk and the "majority" which will not really look into these subjects further.
This is the most comfortable equation, as it takes away the difficulty of learning, personal responsibility, and is based on the most basic primordial fears such as the fear of darkness and so forth. The problem is therefore "solved" for them and they move on with their lives.
Lifeforms as simple also have major audacity in their claims, which is why superstition and retardation are ruling powers and forms in religion. This tendency is meant to protect the all precious human "ego" - their sense of "identity and knowing" that is directly tied to survival. There are for example many people that say that Magick does not work and swear by it, but they never tried it; because if they tried it and it worked, this might have ruined their beliefs about their "safety" or control of their lives.
In the Matrix movie, the Oracle asks Neo, and Neo responds "I don't like the idea that I am not in control of my life." Most people don't like this idea. They want to believe, even in delusion, that they are in control; the ego actively rejects the higher order of things or anything it cannot grasp. They are also instilled with false beliefs that these topics are beyond them, that they cannot grasp them at any rate in their life, or that they simply don't matter.
It's a survival strategy to accept these statements and move on. But not every lifeform is solely interested in their "survival". If they were truly interested, they would find more and more about life, not less and less. Yet, even this is something nobody told them or they haven't understood.
The "people" of the mainstream religions that "believe", are swimming in the seas of the misinformed, lied to and afraid creatures, that are essentially stuck in the mechanisms of the most basic survival zone: Ease, fear, lack of curiosity and hearsay adopted as opinion. These are also the primary forces of bias; ie, the need to see everything not as it is, but how you would like to perceive it.
Have they approached the Gods? No.
Have they read any of their doctrines? No.
Have they experimented with spirituality or meditation or magick? No.
Have they emotionally dealt with the feelings of "discomfort", "what others might think", "but conventional religion and what everyone believes says this", and so forth? No.]
Is their opinion justified or valid in higher standards? No.
Yet, they have an opinion on these; if we could say that "Opinion" is anything else but empty air since one has no clue.
We, on the other hand, left from there because we actually did these things and we saw them as operational. The survival mechanism and egoism was bypassed. Fear, dread, terror, doubts, or whatever other mechanisms, were passed through so that one would embark into a journey to find out.
The blackest pill for them to swallow, in reality is that they are the cause of their own ignorance. Yes, the system binds them. Yes, the world is based on lies. Yes, there are certain negative players running it wholly devoted to keeping them in that place. Yes to these and many other things. Again here we have however the cornerstone of what they want to hear again: that they are poor victims without any personal responsibility. This context makes them slaves in this case. As slaves that they make themselves, their opinions cannot be truth oriented.
In Eastern traditions there is a lot of talk about "letting the ego go". By Ego the true teachings, they do not mean your true self. They mean your lesser egoic part of the self; the one that is against all personal and spiritual development. This was taken out of context in these religions, which were later used as, again, tools for enslavement of other people.
This is a very confusing topic but to make it simple, one cannot know major truths unless they are able to overcome the traditional notions of fear based individuality. The universe is far vaster than the limitations that people have. Fear is an emotion but when it's the ruler, one merely is stuck there and they never develop.
If one wants to step truly "out there", one has to moderate fear, hearsay and hoaxes that they thought they knew. It takes a dive into unknown territory to actually find anything. First to moderate this, one has to admit that it exists. Most people do not even know the levels of fear on which they operate; they just feel the results of that fear and pay the consequences of it.
In the Eternal Tradition of the Gods the heroic path begins when the hero has some sort of existential shock or certain circumstances enforce them out of compliance. They are confronted with certain questions or situations that cannot be pierced with foolishness. The first step of any hero is to refuse this, because the mind is stuck at the basic level of egoic compliance and is by design, designed to be the mind of a slave. The ego either has to die, be shook, or left behind, or conscious choice has to take place for the process of heroic path to unfold.
Certain situations can shock the mind out of this and when the previous "reality" [falsehood] collapses, one then has to ask "what is next?". This curiosity and incapability of staying in the present state, are what enforces in a sense, self search.
Only a few people in the world are actively interested in the truth and it's not the most important thing for basic survival in most cases.
One must not burden themselves with those who are still in the lesser level of consciousness, as they will eventually wake up, but not all are destined or rather, make themselves consciously destined to move forward.
The Truth is a privilege for the few. We want to find these people and make it easier for the rest to transition and move on, so they realize the shackles they imposed upon themselves are the true evil that they are afraid of, sitting exactly right ontop of their heads.
Now, as we move further and expand the Temple of Zeus, we want to show them about these issues and give people a new life. They can search, find the truth and finally, embark into the journey of transformation, as humans were ordained to do. Contrary to popular belief, humans are not solely animals that must operate in ignorance and fear, but they deserve more than that.
