I don't know if the thing about smallpox on a blanket was real. It might have just been a myth. Many of these tribes cut off people's scalps to keep as trophies. And what most people don't know, is that it was extremely common for these native american warriors to take scalps from bodies who were already dead and dig up graves to do this. To artificially increase their number of collected scalps and make it look like they killed more people in battle than they actually did.
