Exercise has helped me a lot, especially with anger; no better way to let off steam than by sweating it off. However, I'm interested in trying black magic on those who have harmed me. I'm just wondering if it can cause me negative karma, and if it would be better to move on and improve in life...

Most negative energy (if any) felt during the God rituals is usually your own negative karma being burned from your soul through the power of the Gods. The Gods never send negative energy; in my experience, it is always healing, positive, and beautiful.
