There are other runic alphabets as well as older ones. What makes futhark special?

Why can't I just assign the same meanings to the modern English Latin alphabet and use that for divination? Weren't Germanic runes primarily a writing system?

The Elder Futhark has been historically been used in Norse sorcery (called Seidr), and has magickal power.

Because in Zevism we don't normally use runes for divination. We vibrate them like mantras and use them in magickal workings. The ones who think that runes are used for divination are mostly New Agers and Wiccans.

Germanic runes were a multilayered hieroglyphic system, and was much more than mere writing, unlike the Latin alphabet.
