Greetings, Brother/Sister.
When it comes to meditation, consistency is key. I had also dedicated when I was in high school but didn't take the path seriously until many years later. I remember that I started meditations for a few days, sometimes even weeks, and then stopped them, again and again.
Now, many years later, I can see some of my past mistakes. I never built an aura of protection. I was after power (instead of steady progress), and when I didn't see what I wanted, I simply stopped. My meditation schedule was also all over the place. I would do meditations that raised a lot of energy one day; then did the barest minimum the next. This inflation of energy was very bad, but I couldn't tell at that time.
Lady Pythia had mentioned that depression is a result of low energy. It makes sense. When the energy/bioelectricity in the body is low, people feel "moody," or sad for no reason. In the extremes, this can become clinical depression.
I've noticed that when I talk to someone who drains my energy, I will suddenly become very hungry after our conversation. Even if I just ate... Food (and sleep) is also a source of energy, which can explain a possible link of depression and obesity.
Now, how do you fix the problem? In the journey of meditation, consistency is key. Have you done the 40 days meditation program by our High Priest? It can be a great start!
Then, personal goals can be very motivating (but remember that motivation can help you start, but discipline is what will keep you going). If you want an X thing, you can start building your energies and then do a spiritual working for it. (You first need to build a decent level of energy before you attempt to get things through magic; if you have depression, you first need to focus on that 🙏)
The solar plexus chakra is also very helpful in strengthening the willpower. Focus on it.
Do aura and chakras cleaning everyday, and inhale energy in your solar plexus. Look through our meditations for the word of power you want to use to strengthen that chakra (you could use Sanskrit, planetary mantra, or a rune).
Also, it helps to become a little physically active. With meditation, you can do hatha yoga that brings a natural high and helps you physically and energetically. The 5 Tibetans can keep you physically active, too. Kundalini yoga raises a lot of energy, it's nice to do (don't start with the full reps; start with 30 or less).
And finally, no matter what you decide to do, be consistent. Remember that if you suddenly stop (for example, you start kundalini yoga, do it for 4 days and the 5th day you don't do it), your energies will inflate. This will make you feel emotionally "off" and decrease your desire to do things.
My advice is to start slow and steady. Start with something that you know you can do daily. Let's say something very simple; aura and chakras cleaning and AoP. Do this for a week... then, add a breathing exercise. Another week or less or more... then add yoga, etc.
Eventually, you start opening the chakras and building power and advancing in the spiritual journey. 💪
Finally, for communicating with your Guardian, this requires a spiritual openness that many who are just starting with meditations don't really have it. However, some people have some innate strengths they may not be aware of (eg more prone to lucid dreaming where their Guardian could reach them out).
You could talk to him/her even if you don't know their name. Talk to them and then be open to any messages. But also, and most importantly, start meditating without waiting for their words.
