I am an artist. As I continue my journey with Satan, I have become aware of the fact that I am very dependent on the approval of others, in my art, and in my personality. Particularly in my personality; the unconscious thought of what others may say is hindering me from being what I want to be.
Today, I'm working with HPS Lydia's emotional healing meditation, and it's as if I've come to realize, that the outcome of my art is also partially filtered by "what others might think."
Is there a definite spiritual component why this happens?

Wanting approval from others is quite normal, until one gains more emotional maturity and inner strength. Even a lot of old people only do things they think other people will approve of, so don't be too hard on yourself about this.
Try this: before you create something, tune in to yourself and think about what you would like to create, for you. And then allow the process to happen in the best way for you.
For your personality, meditation in the morning, even just some Void meditation, will help you stay in tune with yourself, instead of being influenced by wanting approval from others.
Keeping a journal will also help, writing in it about all the things you want to say or how you want to act. Go over this often enough and you will become true to yourself :)
This is a lack of self-esteem and/or lack of fire element. You want approval from others because you are insecure about your own abilities so you give your power to others and let them be the judge of you. You can do a Sun Square for that.
