No. It is a symbolic date that is related with the help Satan gives to humanity.

Satan is Lucifer, the bringer of light. The term "Lucifer" derives from Latin. It is composed by the latin noun "lux"(light) and the latin verb "fero"(to bring).

During Yule time, the days start to become longer after the winter solstice in which there is the longest night of the year. The 23 is always the first (in case the winter solstice is the 22) or the second (in case the winter solstice is the 21) day in which sunlight start to increase. As Lucifer brings light (knowledge) to humanity defeating the darkness of ignorance, the 23 is the day in which the light of the day start to prevail over the darkness of night.

Probably, there are also deeper meanings.
