In continuing the example for using the Sun Square, you would want to begin the mantra when the Sun is strong, either in its sign of exaltation [Aries] or home sign of Leo. NEVER do any solar rituals or work when the Sun is in Libra [sign of its fall] or Aquarius [sign of its detriment]. All solar rituals and workings for the Sun should be started on a Sunday [day of the Sun] and during the hours of the Sun.

hi can someone explain what it means for sun to into libra, sign of fall/detriment etc? and how would i know when it is and isn't ty

i found planetary hours but i still dont know what libra, fall and detriment etc mean and how to determine them.

Each planet occupies different signs as it travels around the zodiac wheel. In the case of the Sun, this is due to the movement of earth around it, but because the zodiac wheel places earth at the center, we can say the Sun has "moved into" a Libra mode of operation.

As you may know, the Sun is exalted in Aries because this is a strong fire sign that complements the Sun's natural desire to be the center of attention and be the source of life. The opposite sign of Aries is Libra, which is a harmony and peace-loving sign. Libra may compromise itself for the sake of justice, but the Sun doesn't naturally want to do this, therefore Libra is said to be a sign of the fall of the Sun; a bad placement.

The same is true for Leo and Aquarius, where Aquarius wants to advance humanity as a whole through rapid change. This opposes Leo, which wants to create personal pride and wealth and conserve this.

Notice how the detrimental sign is the opposite sign of whatever is the home sign of each planet. The sign of the fall is the opposite of whatever is exalted. For example, with Mercury we know Gemini is the home sign and Sagittarius is the detrimental sign, as Sagittarius is found directly opposite of Gemini.

--------------------------

All planets have their own schedules for moving in the zodiac wheel "around" earth. This has to do with how they are tracked in the sky. In terms of how you as an SS should follow this, it is already listed within the SS calendar. At the bottom of the page for each month, you will see a chart tracking the sign of each planet, as well as any changes to this. This is different from planetary hours, which are the hours of the day, rather than days of the year or month.

You will have to memorize the symbol for each sign to understand the chart, but that is not too hard. Also try to memorize the zodiac wheel itself, such as where each sign is located and the sequence of the wheel. Therefore, if someone tells you that the Sun is Pisces, you know that Aquarius has just passed, and that Aries will soon arrive.

In the above case, understanding each sign can help you place them. Pisces is the 12th sign in the zodiac and it is the most expansive. It is also the sign of endings. After the sign of endings must come the creation of the self and beginnings. This where Aries comes next, as the 1st sign of the Zodiac.

Otherwise, just keep referencing the calendar and this page on the signs of each planet: https://www.joyofsatan.org/www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Noted_Planetary_Placements.html
