Remodel the Forums?

The forums are functional as is, but what if we had more "sub-categories" added to make it easier to find threads. I know we have a search function, but unless you know exactly what you're looking for it could take a while to find the right thread.

Here's an example, in the Joy Of Satan 666 forum there could be "sub forums". One could be a “Question for Answer” sub-forum, where question individual threads could be started. This would make it easier to track down unanswered questions, especially from newcomers. It would also make it easier to find previously answered questions as well.

Another could be a “SS articles” sub-forum, for general information provided by members. Clergy already have something like this with the Important Articles from JoS Ministry forum. This one would make it easier to keep records of educational posts made by any SS.

There could also be one for news. Here, SS can post news reports and videos they found interesting from various media organizations. Anyone who would like to leave informative commentary, or positive reinforcement, can also post a reply.

This is just a “rough draft” of what improvements could be made. I don't know what all would be required to implement this, so I can't comment on that.

I'm sure the JoS clergy has better things to do than making the forums less annoying for some people. It doesn't seem that the JoS has intentions to become a "social media platform", as far as they're likely concerned the current format works perfectly fine. It's definitely not perfect imo.

This is a good idea, and I have posted about the same idea in the past. Unfortunately, this would mean more workload for organizing topics considering that some people would post on the wrong category plus all the filth that has to be unapproved. I recon this would remain undone for time being.

True, maybe when JoS has more willing and able moderators available that could be accomplished. Also, what about using torrents as a "backup" for the JoS library? A seeder can just be a tiny computer (like one of those single-board computers) with an external hard drive and a wired internet connection.
