Is the placebo effect a weak form of energy programming? In a way we are telling ourselves something will work, believe it works and in mild cases it may work (whether this is a sugar pill or some other remedy that has no real benefits). So we are directing energy in some way that a placebo will relieve pain or work as a remedy for something else. Kind of a silly topic but it's just something I was thinking about and interested to know others' opinion.
Hail Satan

That and it’s a way to discredit proven traditional medicine and practices that doctors don’t know the mechanism behind.

Yes. And it shows you the extreme power that even an untrained mind can generate when it has full confidence that something will work.

One's own energies are put into motion here, as the power/energies of mind of an individual, even without conscious attempt at directing them, does the magic of placebo. Volition of man is a mighty tool, and meditation teach us how to master it, alongside many other instruments of the soul.

Your will, desire and determination are precious gems, that can shine even in the hands of those considering them to be simple rocks.
And we, goldsmiths of the spirit, know what they truly are.

If you want to read further about the topic, I'd recommend this book:

You Are the Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter by Dr. Joe Dispenza
Thank you for the book recommendation! I am interested in reading this.

This is right, and applies for everything in life. Even if you want to build muscles, and look in the mirror, think you are already very muscular and will build more muscles.

On the other hand, this can be used for the worse.
When old people start to forget things, and their partners point out, that they are forgetting things and correct them, their mental capacities degenerate much faster.

That's how "Jesus" and "Allah" comes alive to certain people and "helps them" etc.
Since these entities already have been strongly programmed by others who have "been saved" it's like placebo 2.0
