I want to learn to be more in control of my mind, body, and spirit.

I want to be more patient and wise. A man who is calm, wise, and detached.

Lately, external circumstances was too in control of me. My impatience, anxiety, and utter restlessness have intensified very badly to the point they manifested physically in the form of anxiety disorder, low blood pressure, and heart beat arrythmia.

I have become over-indulgent, time-wasting, needy, and chasing validation too bad that I am kind of addicted to social media.

I need focus. But there's a thousand things going on in my head I can barely breathe.

I want to take a serious undertaking to develop my focus, patience, and especially detachment.

I just feel a little overwhelmed with information overload. I can't pinpoint what I need to start developing this more seriously.

Same. What helped me was reading the work of Marcus Aurelius, his book Meditations, and doing the Falun Gong exercises every now and then when these symptoms felt the worst, but also in general: https://youtu.be/f9mZAg43WO4

I will be reading other masters of Stoicism as well, but shout out to the members who recommended Marcus Aurelius, it was very enlightening indeed.

How's your yoga going? I can attest that if you indulge in yoga and I mean actually indulge in it without seeing it as work but fun and good for you then you can be in Zen mode fairly easy. Lydia has mentioned that her calmness does come from years of yoga and personally from doing it persistently over some time now I can vouch this is true.

I have more patience and have a clear mind which helps me to understand things in general way better. Although the the latter part I attributed to both meditating and yoga.

I went through a similar phase when I was in my last job and with my ex girlfriend, I became too soft, lost focus for a while and got comfortable in an unhealthy situation, I was just barely keeping it together with my meditations. I had to force myself out of that situation before it got out of control...

You just have to build new habits and break the old ones. You just force it with raw willpower, push it through and don't give up. It is hard and feels uncomfortable and strange for a while because you're used to being relaxed all the time (not in a good way), but after a while it builds up and becomes a new habit. I know how the mind gets after social media addiction, you constantly need stimulation and the mind gets really polluted, specially with all the subliminal stuff going on, you end up feeling "dirty"... You just have to be consistent with your decision to be more focused and determined so that you can have a healthy mind. Force yourself to stay away from it.

Your brain associates these habits with pleasure and releases dopamine and you feel "good", learn how to associate this to healthy habits. Whenever you're craving for any of the bad things you described, do something healthy - go for a walk, drink green tea, do 50 pushups, read 1 page of a book, do a new meditation, you got the idea... soon enough a new healthy habit will be permanent.

Go back to the basics. Start with small things and build from there. Change one thing at a time. It works. I also spam Saturn related workings, Nauthiz, Saturn Squares (enjoy while it lasts, in 08/03/2023 it will move to another sign), I also like to infuse Black Onyx stones with these energies and carry them with me all the time, make sure to program the energy. The affirmation I use is always related to determination, self-discipline and power of will. Void meditation in black energy while doing the Dhyana mudra also works great. Do it everyday, several times a day if you have to. I learned this one from BlackDragon666 a long time ago and I have been doing it ever since, it's great.

I agree with hailourtruegod, Yoga does help a lot as well, but as you grow your bio-electricity levels, be sure to be aware of your own thoughts otherwise you will sabotage yourself, as your thoughts become powerful. You can use this to your advantage and craft a nice affirmation targeting this issue, which you say after your Yoga session.

If you suffer from this issue I think it is a good idea to always cultivate this mindset everyday, make a special effort to never slack. It's what works for me anyway.

Almost forgot, breathing exercises that I've been doing for several months straight is another factor. I recommend it and it's ok to start at low reps. What matters is being completely (the chest especially) relaxed while doing them.
