Basic question about vibrations

I have a doubt, when it is said to vibrate "AUM", or "SA-TA-NA-MA" (I want to perform Satan's psalm by HoodedCobra) is it indeded to be done like

• "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" *breath in*
  "UUUUUUUUUUUUUU" *breath in*
  "MMMMMMMMMMMM"

• or more like all in one breath "AAAAUUUUUUMMMMM"

same question for SATANAMA, is it like

• "SAAAAAAAAAA" *breath in*
  "TAAAAAAAAAA" *breath in*
  "NAAAAAAAAAA" *breath in*
  "MAAAAAAAAAA"

• or just "SAAATAAANAAAMAAA" in one breath

I know this is supposed to be a very nooby question, so far I've been basically doing the long version if I had time and the short version when in a hurry (or when lazy, actually, I'd say it was lazyness most of the times rather then genuine hurry, pretty shameful, I know, this is also why I'm asking).

I wondered this as well. I think the long way is more powerful, plus it forces you to do higher quality vibrations. With satanama as one breath I tend to vibrate it syllable by syllable instead of letter by letter. SSAAA-TTAAA instead of SSS-AAA-TTT-AAA. So in other words, the time spent on each letter isn't equal, it's biased toward the vowels.

But I also don't have much wind. So maybe it's a way of compensating for my defects.

Does anyone know how emphasizing vowels vs consonants affects the energy?
