I'm thinking of starting a moon square this year. What's the best time to start a moon square?
Hello! There are 12 or 13 Full Moons every year and 2 or 3 of them will be Cancer and Taurus Full Moons. The Moon is exalted in Taurus and it is at home in Cancer. Though these dates don't always fall on Mondays. So a Waxing Moon in Cancer or Taurus close to being a full Moon on a Monday is good. I have a phone app ''Deluxe Moon'' that allows me to put the Moon's sign and fullness on the lock screen. Another app called Planetaro for planetary hours. Apps like this usually charge a fee but free versions are good enough to check the Moon's sign and fullness.
January 26 (the pic is 27 by my mistake, 27 is Tuesday) is the closest date and this is how it looks in the app:
It would be better if it were a Full Moon Monday but there is no such date soon. Moon in Taurus and Cancer are waxing for a few more Lunar cycles but after that they will be waning so you should start it in a few months max. Every passing Month, Moon in Cancer and Taurus will be less full each month, then new moon, then waning for a while, then finally Full Moon and waxing again but this will be at the end of this year.
The best date: Full Moon Cancer or Taurus, Monday
The closest best date: Waxing Moon in Taurus, Moon %55-60 full, Monday
You can see in the picture it says ''VOC 27/01...''. There is a Void of Course Moon on the 27th but the 26th is fine all day.
