Of course there can be. Look at 'nigger'* music - drugs this, fuck that, attack and kill the other; or songs like "I want to be a Hippy", and "Born Slippy" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", etc., are all druggy songs. (I don't know of any Asian.) It can be influential, just like violent computer games and films, if one is gullible and led easily.
Maybe consider music in vibratory terms. Vocal chords and guitar string strums and drum bangs all vibrate sounds, influencing our Minds, Hearts and Souls. The meanings and vibrations of lyrics and the melody or the high-tempo pace can help to deepen or lighten or energise our moods, and more and more of it feeds into us more and more.
It just another thing. Like eating and drinking things causes things within us, reading and watching things causes things within us - playing and singing music does things within us. The Mind, Body and Soul all speak to each other, so what we put in us speaks to the rest of us. Take care of the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
*I don't mean Black music; I mean nigger/thug/gangster/criminal music, including Eminem, no less; I quite like some Motown, so I don't mean Black music when I say "nigger music"
