It could also be the enemies influences.
When people open up to spirituality and are on the right track then those are being targeted by enemies. You got nothing to worry about as this is a place of Enlightenment, Peace, Prosperity and overall good things.
Also, psychologically speaking, the enemy have made it hard "due brainwashing" for the people to be able to see and understand the truth.

As Lightning_Puma also mentioned, meditation in the void is used to solve these kinds of problems, and I personally find meditation in the void the most enjoyable for me

When you initially embark upon the Truth, your current state of lies in your mind is very highly conflicted; fear and other emotions can arise and a lot of inner resistance (because it's something you are not used to). It's a normal state of psychological re-assesment and it can happen to people who are heavily programmed by Christianity or Islam. It's normal and it will pass.
