Zodiac mantras

Reading what was said on the forums about the zodiac mantras left me confused. The mantras were passed on by Shannon, who is a trusted figure on the forums, yet there have been subsequent discussions about their use.
Every time Cobra spoke out against these mantras, he was responding to people trying to use the mantra to modify their characteristics, because they "didn't like their signs." However, these mantras, like planetary mantras, can be used for magical work in themselves, using the energy of that sign for a purpose just as we do with a planet.

So my question arises: would using these mantras for magical work be a bad thing? Or is the problem the inappropriate use that has been made by some of our members?

The problem with these mantras was that they weren't as refined as runic mantras are. Many were treating them as plastic surgery working and not truly understanding and accepting oneself, akin to the psychological issues 'transgender' people refuse to address.

I became fascinated with these workings at first, but found myself in a similar situation and in the end I did not achieve what I expected and possibly worse. But one should seriously know their own astrological chart as the unrefined nature of these working can be for better or worse. Especially the Zodiac mantras which are ruled by generational planets.

The only valid use I could think of, would be to gain the qualities of ones north node Zodiac sign as this represents ones soul path. So a working like this could be extremely effective. There have also been discussions on alternative mantras to them so give them a try as well.

I also wondered about the idea of trying to use the chakra mantras at the beginning of each zodiac mantra for whichever energy of the Zodiac sign we wanted the chakra to have. But perhaps this could work the same with runes too.
