Yoga Question

This question is for people who are somewhat educated about yoga. During my yoga sessions about 1/3 of the way through for the past week I have been getting "jello legs" and muscle spasms. I do about 10 poses in 30-40 minutes. What does this mean? I've been doing yoga for almost a year. I'm not pushing or straining just holding as usual. I do yoga on an empty stomach and drink 2 cups of water before and smoke a half a cigarette, just to give you more background. This usually happens during sun salutations. If anyone could help me that would be great.

..Hail Satan!! As you have been doing it for a year and are not just starting out, the thing that popped into my head was to ask have you been circulating energy? if not, maybe it is pooling in your legs?

now, If i got a muscle spasm, I'd just stretch a lil farther, honestly. but my advice might not be the best
