Often times the gods are actually hinting at future events through the timing that they interact with you and this is something I have practical wisdom about. If I had never compared 2 of the most impact moments in my whole life, meeting Hestia face to face, and having Anubis put me through an ordeal of being awake for 3 days, I would have never had knowledge of certain future events. They were guiding me through the timing that they appeared.
If you have any impactful experience, a vivid dream where you saw them, clear communication that is direct, and especially in trance when they can appear, then it is a must to write down the experience in your journal and note the timing, both as a date and also it's not a bad idea to cast a chart. The 2 experiences I had above were exactly a Saturn opposition apart. The date Anubis kept me awake for 72 hours was exactly, and I mean right down to the degree, 180⁰ and I remember this not because I wrote it down, but I remember it being about 1 months from my dedication date.
For many documented events, bill payments, jail, hospitalizations etc..., there is proof of when they occured and this is just as important. In fact I would have never had known about a particularly impactful future event, one that allowed our enemies to know they have lost the war and written about here on the forums prior to the happening, without past knowledge if I had not kept such a close eye on the most important events in my life. There quantitative analysts who have proprietary methods being paid hundreds of thousands a year because they studied the past and were able to apply a method where they accurately predict future fluctuations in the markets. The best paid have to sign NDA's so that these secrets are only available to few. This is among the main purposes of studying the past, to predict the future and benefit of off believing what will come. We should never be too certain about the future.
I don't believe the gods would have chosen someone who could not see this and maybe one of the reasons they do not take certain individuals seriously enough is because they are not taking themselves seriously enough. Show them you care through this. I am looking for an honest human with a lantern in broad daylight. Be honest with yourself on re-evaluating, even if it hurts you. Not studying the past for the sake of the present and future is almost like saying you don't mind having some of your memories erased as you aren't using them for some purpose. To not know where you come from, is to not know were you stand, and you are absolutely clueless as to where you are going.
