I'm been doing a lot of research into Wim Hof and the Wim Hof method recently and I think it's really interesting and possibly life changing information, any thoughts on him/ his method for regulating his own autonomous immune system and body temperature? I've started doing his breathing exercises every morning and a cold shower every evening.

Hof doesn't have a unique method. The system he uses is thousands of years old and is part of the yogic teachings.
It is mentioned on a page on the JOS about how adept yogis utilize the breath of fire and expand their sushumna to survive freezing temperatures overnight in light clothing in the mountains. Their energy generates such heat that there is a radius of melted snow all around them.
Whether he discovered the old ways by himself in a vacuum, had them in his subconscious from training in a past life or stumbled on them through research, I don't know. But he is a good mainstream example of what can be done when you apply yourself to the meditations.
