I know an Asian woman who is a hardcore xtian in real life. She married another brainwashed xtian man and they tried to have a child unsuccessfully for a year. They saw a doctor who told them that the man has severe fertility problems and they will need IVF. Praying. First IVF fails. The woman is devastated. More praying. Second IVF she gets pregnant with a son. She documents the pregnancy on instagram and it's a nightmare, every month she has severe health problems and needs to be in the hospital. Praying for a healthy baby. A few weeks before birth she develops this extremely dangerous condition where her placenta basically starts rotting inside her and the baby doesn't get oxygen and nutrients, so she is rushed for an emergency c-section and both her and her son spend a month in the ER. The family is financially ruined now from the medical bills. More praying.
After exiting the hospital the baby doesn't gain weight. Crying day and night, ill, fever, vomiting...more tests and the baby has a severe milk protein allergy. It cannot drink any kind of milk and gets allergic symptoms to the mother's breast milk. Now they have to buy extremely expensive chemical formula until it can start eating solid food.
Yet the conclusion of all those xtians is: praise god for hearing our prayers and we have a child.
How did the xtian god exactly hear your prayers? If it wasn't for medicine, you would both be dead. Not even a single thing happened right and now they are saddled with around $80k medical bills that I don't know if they will ever be able to pay off. Yet they never wonder if they believe in BS. I was raised in a hardcore xtian family and ever since I was a small child I remember thinking that it's all lies since if everything happened like in the b@ble, a kind god would strike my mother down with a thunder for abusing so many people. Why wasn't justice the right thing to do? I was 5-6 years old and the concept of turn the other cheek seemed nonsensical and a self destructive thing to believe.
How do these adults never doubt and keep believing that they are ''helped'' when there is no help?
