Why am I getting repeated email of a password reset I have not requested?

AvatarAstralnaut881 min to read

I did not request one and the emails I am getting ask me to ignore if I did not request, but at the the same time this means someone is requesting a password reset for my account. Four different times this hour.

"This code was requested from 138.199.6.182, Zürich, Switzerland at 21 July 2026, 09:23 UTC. If you didn't make this request, you can safely ignore this email."

Moderators don't need to approve this message. Just need someone to be aware in case something fishy is going on.

I approved this message because it is good that other people also know about this, in case it happens to someone else.

Yes, someone is triggering a reset password flow for your account. There are people out there, clearly enemies of the Temple, who have so much free time they spend HOURS every day triggering these events, just for the sake of being annoying. Moreover, they pay money to use VPNs, so not only do they have time, but they also invest money in this useless activity.

Until now, only Clergy and Guardians were subject to this, but it looks like these individuals have even more free time than before and have started to bother other forum members.

As written in the mail, "If you didn't make this request, you can safely ignore this email". This email is the sign we have proper security mechanisms in place, so no one will be able to reset your password except yourself.

I wonder what they will say in front of the Gods when they will ask them what they did in their lives... Maat scale awaits them.
