there is no "best" way really. its whatever you feel comfortable with. speak the truth and from your heart...it can be quiet, you can speak to him out loud or send him telepathic messages..you can write the prayer burn it and throw the ashes in the water...you can dance with instruments and send him positive energy..any message you send to him he gets....be creative you're His child..

There is no 'best way', really. Just do what feels right to you. You can either just talk to him, or you can do a formal ritual and write the prayer out and burn it. Or, you can do both; that's what I do.
