Hail Satan!! what does this xian " lent " mean? and why they feel a need to give up something or a sacrifice? the only reason i ask is because when i debate thier nonsense, i don't want to be ignorant of what exactly this program is supposed to accomplish.

The forty days abstinence of Lent was directly borrowed from the worshippers of the Babylonian goddess…Among the Pagans this Lent seems to have been an indispensable preliminary to the great annual festival in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Tammuz…" (The Two Babylons).

The Feast of Tammuz was usually celebrated in June (also called the "month of the festival of Tammuz"). Lent was held 40 days before the feast, "celebrated by alternate weeping and rejoicing" This is why Lent means "spring"; it took place from spring to early summer.

Lent was also celebrated by pagans a a welcoming in of spiring and time of new beginings (and still is by a few people)

Those who planned to be initiated during the Eleusinian Mysteries of ancient greece in the fall, custimarily had purification ceremonies in the early spring, which included bathing in the sea.

A Lent of forty days, 'in the spring of the year,' is still observed by the Yedzidi pagans of Koordistan.

I think it has to do with using a mantra for 40 day period to empower yourself and thus the "sacrifice" that of personal time. The ancient Satanic world cultures where based upon spiritual enlightenment. In Egypt each person had to do six weeks of the year of Temple duty, the purpose of which was to be instructed in spiritual knowledge from the Serpents have the time to apply it to excellence and the setting as well. Then take it home and work with it till the next level.

it gives it up for 40 days i believe, in order to have nothing. at least, that's the truth
in their words, tho, it's to give it up to spend more time with god. which is emptiness. which lacks anything and everything...which is what I kinda said o_O
