What about horror movies?

Hello! :)It's been... well years, since I stopped enjoying horror movies but since I've started meditating I've actually come to question the purpose of such movies. I am talking about "Freddy Krueger", "The Ring" and movies of that kind; movies that scare you and make you jump. (I'm not talking about "thrillers" that have to do with police and solving cases; that make you think and calculate)I was wondering if these movies can be considered as mere "useless" products, or if they are a part of the enemy's traps... For example, having nightmares and greys taking advantage (and feeding off) of your fear. Well, I certainly do not doubt that this can happen, but do you think there are even more high motives for those movies for the enemy...? How can they really affect us?

By the way, I sometimes see shit like http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/health-fitness/health/Watching-horror-movies-good-for-brain/articleshow/10528690.cms <-this and I get fucking frustrated... It's like how some people say "hey, do drugs, because when you're high you're like ten times more alert" and shit... Yeah yeah... -_-
Anyway, what is your opinion about horror movies? How much do they affect us? By the way, my question is specifically for how the enemy can take advantage of this... Don't tell me that they raise our adrenaline, I know as much. xP

Well, for one thing, a lot of horror movies depend on "demons" for scaring people; you know, someone gets possessed, or the house is supposedly owned by the devil, etc. etc; and so on. So, our gods get slandered, and people without continue to see them as bad guys. If it is a haunted house/possession movie, you can usually count on some sort of judeoxian priest/rabbi to come in to save everyone. Wasn't the girl in the Ring supposedly born evil?

I am also seeing more horror movies with grays in them, in which the people are helpless to them & are going to be grabbed...no matter what they do. American Horror Story:Asylum included television in on this trend. I ask - are "we" (that is, humanity at large) supposed to sheeple together in the church to be safe from the grays? Or are we supposed to just live in fear?

That said, i like horror movies when I can snark at them with family. And there are *some* good ones out there.
