Was just visited by a demon I thought was fake?

Since I am new to Satanism, I am not completely knowledgeable. I was recently visited by a demon claiming to be Mephistopheles. But I thought Mephistopheles was a fake/fictional demon? Can someone help to explain this to me?

Uh, Mephistopheles is on our side. Read the Gods of Elysium section, and
this will prove what I say. But Mephistopheles is one of our Gods,
commonly confused to be Father Satan for some odd reason. Lol.

There's no such being in the Gods of Elysium section. You may want to visit that page yourself and see.
