visualization

This is probably a stupid question but I just want to make sure I'm on the right track. When I visualize do I visualize it in my mind or with my eyes like I'm physically looking at it. I'm just not sure which way I should be going here. Thanks.

An example of question that sound stupid, yet is not stupid at all.

Actually, you can do both As you open your 3rd eye, close your physical ones and 'look' on you visualised 3rd eye.

As for some other meditations, you can exercise your mind to visualise something with your eyes opened - this also inevitably and greatly helps

When you visualize something, you don't create a image visible with your physical eyes. You recall a mental image, but your eyes see a black screen (if your eyes are closed).

there are certain things that i cant visualize with my eyes closed. For example after destruction rituals i burn the negativity off my aura and around my room with blue demonic fire but only with my eyes open i can see visualize it. Its kind of Interesting. It also happens when i clean my aura and chakras...

before i dedicated, i was really good at visualizing i could do it with my eyes open and eyes closed without even trying but now that i have dedicated, it is much harder for me to visualize. Does anyone know any reason for this?
