Uranus Retrograde vs Mercury Retrograde

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but

Uranus is retrograde since August 11th, through January 10th.

Since Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, does that pose similar effects to the Mercury retrograde period?

I've noticed some issues related to technology/communication tools in the past few days, such as malfunction in the systems of websites I've visited (especially those that require a login), as well as faults in electric/electronic appliances, failure in bank processes and companies which have failed to notify me about important matters, just to cite a few.

My profile picture is just fun artwork and not spiritually, historically or geographically accurate. Tigers are primarily from Asia, not Egypt.

Not exactly, it can cause some issues with the houses that Uranus rules in a persons chart (unless their natal Uranus is retrograde) but this is often not so clear. When the outer planets go retrograde it tends to have a more positive benign or negative effect in different geo-political situations every time and is indicative of the the social spheres and sexual energies going into introversion and indicating periods of reflection. It's never gonna be only benign etc. Things will tend to go unnoticed when Uranus goes retrograde, but things which happened before are instead noticed- like 'conspiracy theories' of the past and so on people will look into this type of stuff during these times.

Uranus and Aquarius in a deeper sense rules eyesight but so does Leo which is of the Sun. People don't go blind in Uranus retrograde because of the Sun existing, but because of Uranus retrograde people will miss certain things in everyday life, weakened perception.

Like Mars retrograde is not a good time to hurt people, Uranus retrograde is probably not a good time to shock people or try to start any new advent or idea in a group sense. It will tend to go unnoticed which is good for secrecy and truth but bad for publicity and change. Uranus retrograde is of originality, so art, ideas and things during this time which are original in a whole sense which have less of being influenced (although everything is influenced in some way) will be being conceived or put into creation, running into delays and errors which enrichen the process of creation by the end of it. Unless the creators are natal Uranus retrograde.

Because this hasn't been spoken on before in a transit sense to my knowledge, I don't know if I should go for this anymore but that's a lot of what I know there and should help you understand Uranus more in of itself.
