This has been mentioned before and for most who are attempting the Magnum Opus using the Philosopher’s Stone as described by Kai Purr, this will mark the beginning of the rest of the journey to the ascent of their Kundalini Serpent. A poignant issue of contemplation for many I’m sure. Many of us who do not achieve this state by pure accident will do so through tantric yoga (with which I am not particularly familiar), frequent sex with a demon (as described by Kai Purr, again a technique with which I have limited experience though not zero) and probably the most common method the cobra breath. As I am sure many have found, there is very limited information on this technique to be found on the internet, and most of what can be found is pertaining to the teaching and initiation of the technique through seven levels by a guru, the progression of which is controlled by the guru and costs alot of money, if you happen to even be near or able to access a practitioner or ‘master’ (I use this term almost sarcastically in reference to many people who would call themselves masters). Truth be told, the cobra breath technique given by Kai Purr is the MOST EFFECTIVE and direct method to not only open the Sushumna but to stimulate the sexual energy (non-dual energy of Qi Gong) to transform the Sushumna Nadi. The ‘levels’ idea and the secrecy of the technique and the ensuing complexities within the levels are merely tools to prevent spiritual power from being accessible by anyone without the money or connections to receive it. I spent much time belaying my lack of ability to access these levels without a teacher only to find that the answer was before me the whole time. The key with the cobra breath is to focus on the sexual energy but NOT TO FORCE IT up the spine as this can not only exacerbate blockages but can result in alot of pain and stuck energy that is difficult to move, especially for anyone who has limited experience with Power Meditation or has not fully empowered their chakras before beginning the Cobra Breath. The transformation of the Sushumna Nadi itself occurs when the Sushumna is open and active with enough sexual energy to facilitate it. This channel is different from the channel through which you circulate the ball of energy up your back although they are all interconnected and the same; for the sake of simplicity I will describe them as different. The Sushumna Nadi functional portion with which we are primarily concerned (before it is transformed) starts at the perineum in the location of the Chinese Acu-point Huiyin REN-1 and travels anterior to (in front of) the spine to the crown, although it exits the head at Bailao DU-20 which is not the same location as the crown chakra though still a part of it (diagrams of its exact path through the body can be found by researching the internal pathway of the Chong Mai or Penetrating Vessel of Acupuncture/Qi Gong). This is the path through which sexual energy should traverse when doing the cobra breath. Feeling bliss at the top most point is a good indicator you are doing it correctly although this may vary from person to person. The transformation occurs when the three channels that ascend the spine merge to form the complete Sushumna Nadi. I am not talking about the three channels of Ida, Pingala and Sushumna here, that is a separate issue. I am referring to the external and internal pathways of the Governor Vessel or Du Mai (this is the channel along the back through which the ball of energy is circulated when doing the circulating energy meditation), the internal pathway of the Conception Vessel or Ren Mai (which also ascends the spinal column anterior to the spine but terminates at the base of the skull) and the just previously mentioned pathway of the Penetrating Vessel or Chong Mai. Repeated and effective application of the cobra breath will cause these three pathways to open and merge into one another, preparing a more open and free flowing path for the elixirs of life to flow from the lower dantian (sacral chakra) and the upper dantian (pineal gland and sixth chakra). Speaking from experience, even the initial stages of this transformation are not entirely pleasant and may serve to create a lot of a feeling of frustration and anger which is indicative of energy building up in the Chong Mai due to its narrow path and congesting the free flow of prana throughout the body. The key to liberating this energy is to focus on it flowing through the point at the top of the Chong Mai at the Acu-point Bailao DU-20 and out into your aura. This is assuming that your chakras are free of major blockages and the energy can even reach this point. If you experience pain along the spine instead when attempting to do this it is likely that your chakras need more work. HAIL SATAN!
