I assume you feel anxious when you try to meditate, his happens to me sometimes. All you need to do is lengthen the breathing exercise. Do the 6 count breathing for five minutes or more until you feel numb. Then do the falling exercise and and visualize yourself falling into your astral temple. This works great.
You'll know you are doing it right if you try to move your fingers but they feel like they are encrusted with plaster or something similar.
