Tips for hair?

I was wondering if anyone had tips for better hair care. I feel as though the shampoos and contitioners kill hair. I read that some people use tea and other stuff that you'd typically find around the house on order to wash and maintain their hair. If anyone has suggestions for cleaning hair and any tips for increasing growth rate, I'd appreciate it!
Thank you all in advance!

<td val[/IMG]Hello.

Healthy hair starts with diet. Proteins, silica, collagen and other components help the hair grow faster and adds to its strength and thickness. Henna is also healthy for the hair.

First it is best to eliminate certain products that strip the hair of its natural oils such as harsh sulfate shampoos and heavy conditioners. Natural and herbal shampoos are best.

The natural oils on the scalp that people wash away everyday is a contributing factor for hair health and growth.

The hair doesn't have to be washed everyday contrary to belief. The skin and hair has natural oils and bacteria to keep it clean and hydrated. There are exceptions though such as if one has an occupation where they are exposed to debris or during humid sticky weather.

You can wash your hair with tea and a light baking soda mix. Rosemary, sage and horsetail tea are good options. Certain essential oils such as peppermint and rosemary stimulate the scalp for hair growth. They can be added to shampoo.

Rosemary and sage oil and tea are good for those with dark hair as it helps to darken and give shine and stimulation.

Chamomile tea and cassia for those with lighter to blonde hair.

A simple hair conditioner can be an oil of choice-Coconut, jojoba(similar to human's skin oil) and olive oil are great. Add cinnamon, peppermint, rosemary or any therapeutic essential oil to it. Put it in your hair after washing, blow dry it in and then wash it out.

Your hair should be shinier and conditioned afterwards.

For those who already have damaged hair or split ends but do not want to cut it, use Henna. It will bind to the hair follicles and seal up the tears. Hair will grow faster since it won't be breaking off and henna thickens too.

The henna takes about 2 and more applications for great effects. The more you do it, the thicker your hair. Henna is very very hard to take out if not impossible. This is a good thing. It's like a protein treatment but with plants.

These are all suggestions but natural and chemical free shampoos and conditioners are very easy to find. No problem there.

But for hair growth and strength. Opt for adding vitamins and minerals to your diet.

Need a list of vitamins and minerals, etc for your hair growth routine?
