Repost here since I feel the thread on the ritual is about to be taken down plus its off topic there. So wanted to create a new thread to discuss this.

I had an intrest in knowing what the hours or minutes or seconds or whatever else they used if none of this applies were like back then. I am pretty sure planetary hours is a bitch that would be hard to use today but there has to be a system not tied to Saturn and the number 6 (virgo) What is a better way of time or what way of time did they use.

Logically though it makes no sense that the day would start any time other than sun rise. Cause that is what a day is about isn't it lol.

It sounds like you know a lot about this so I asked I have spent a lot of time wondering about this before.

I feel that somehow this should flow with the energies around us and natural cycles. There are holidays yes but that fails to account for the fact that entire periods of the year have a certain theme. Example Sagittarius and Capricorn are the two different sides of the social system and deal with social rules society and beliefs seemingly opposite but actually a similar theme.
This is one I know personally cause I am several Sagittarius planets and strong Jupiter and my girlfriend is several Capricorn planets and a strong Saturn. We always talk about the same general themes just have a different way of looking at it.

Then there is Aquarius Pisces the next theme. The mind or the spiritual aspects of society interconnectedness and friendships. Collectivism vs Individuality. Communism and National Socialism both are Aquarius ideas just two opposing sides of the energy. Saturn in Aquarius is the father of Marxism and oppression social isolation etc the kind of stuff we see today with it there. Ugh I don't like that very much but I don't think I am going to like Saturn in Pisces any better. Self hatred lacking confidence being taken advantage of the needs of others always come before the needs of self etc.

Another theme is the Cancer Leo theme. The family and children romance creativity being at home taking care of children or the elderly having something you are proud of.

These are larger cycles in the year. The shorter cycles or more mundane cycles are moon in these periods or moon conjunct Saturn or Jupiter the two opposing sides of the social system.

This could be broken down into a day. What kind of energies does today have what is useful to do today.

For example Day of Mars put out into 13 equal hours would be a more natural approach but with seconds and minutes. As 13 deals with the cycles of the moon. So day of Mars

Like every other day there are themes. Morning the sun is bright excitedness spring Aries get going assertive.

Afternoon cancer It's summer the sun is bright and highest in the sky ruled by moon. Mundane activities or recreation is done now people interact do their thing.

Evening or Fall Libra
Things are starting to settle down its a good time for socialization deep conversations relationships sex often when people go to social events parties etc. Light energy but as it draws on the day draws to a close and the sun goes down.

Ushering in the final stage: Night Winter Capricorn. The day has died and along with it what was going on people settle down unless they are up at this time or enjoy night. Things are deeper more grounded. Many people sleep at this time or hibernate in the winter waiting for the spring or morning to get up and go about their day.

As with many things in our modern world, I am sure this could be updated as well. As for exactly how, or whether this is worth the effort as of now, I am not sure. Of course, for people to accept this, they must have some understanding as to why it is useful, which would then lead to topics that are currently controversial.

Nonetheless, as we advance, we will get a more understanding of these cycles, and from there we can try to distill them into practical applications.
