Many Sumerian Gods and Goddesses are known today to us as Demons. You can find more about Them on Joy Of Satan website.
Some of them are allegories, and some of them are real. For example Lord Enki, which is our Father Satan, Lady Innana, which is Goddess Astarte, Goddess Erishkegal...and others.
