Last night, I did a tarot card reading for a neighbor. In the course of the reading, she told me she had once done a "witchcraft seance" and experienced "evil--a bad portal opening." Once again, this shows that one has to be under the protection of Satan when trying "witchcraft" or psychic things...Satan alone protects us from any other entity that might not have our best interests in mind...

Unfortunatly these are very real. However they can be closed or broken easily, depending on how they were created and what is coming through. Usualy a simple bannishing ritual will clear the area of portals. If it is something more than just a simple portal, then one method is to go inside with your spirit body. Warning you that this can be dangerous, so be careful. If you feel that the energy in the portal is too much/overwhelming for you, then don't attempt it. Ask the Gods for help. Once inside one would release energy into it and overpower the current energy, scattering it into nothingness.
These things are commen among non-dedicated practicers of magick. Some magick tools are empowered with thoughforms. When energy is used with them, they create thoughforms around the poeple, in hopes of scarring people away from magick.
