The Old Ones

I've read the Necronomicon by John Dee , or well.. at least i tryed to read most of it . It let me really confuse since i can't seem to understand who The Old Ones really are , what they do , what is the link between them and Father Satan..Could someone please explain this to me ? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for taking the time to put together that article!  It's going to save me a lot of time by helping me to put the work into proper perspective esp. means I'm totally new to this.  I just happen to be reading through the Meditations and trust that the Astrological data on the JOS site will pull it together.  Very interesting stuff.
